My Factory Tour 2024 – WOW!
In April 2024, I had the incredible opportunity to visit Vietnam for a factory tour and to meet the entire ACNOS team. The experience was nothing short of eye-opening. The sheer scale of ACNOS’s operations and the vast network of dealers showcasing their products was far beyond anything I had imagined. Karaoke isn’t just popular in Vietnam—it’s a cultural phenomenon. It’s woven into daily life, bringing joy and connection to countless people. Everywhere I went, the enthusiasm for singing was palpable, and it was clear how much happiness it brought to everyone.
Seeing the compact KBEATBOX models in action made perfect sense when I considered Vietnam’s limited living spaces. These portable yet powerful systems are a perfect fit for a country where space is at a premium.
One of the most striking moments for me was realizing just how densely populated Vietnam is. Before the trip, I hadn’t given it much thought. Learning that the country has a population of 100 million—and experiencing the bustling streets of Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon) with its 9.5 million residents—was mind-blowing. With so many people and an ingrained love for karaoke, it was easy to see why it’s such big business here.
One of the most striking moments for me was realizing just how densely populated Vietnam is. Before the trip, I hadn’t given it much thought. Over two days, we visited several dealers to get a firsthand look at karaoke retail in Vietnam. While there are plenty of competitors vying for market share, it’s clear that ACNOS leads the pack. After visiting their factory, it’s no mystery why. Their team is relentlessly innovative, improving their models with features others can only attempt to copy. As Mr. Hoang, our gracious host, confidently noted, their competitors are far behind and aren’t a real threat.
The electronics district we visited the following day was unlike anything I’d ever seen. Spanning an entire city block, both sides of the street were lined with shops and small malls packed to the brim with electronics. Store after store competed fiercely, yet somehow all managed to survive. One particular dealer stood out—ACNOS’s top seller in the area, moving about 200 powered karaoke speakers every month.
