Sonken KA-11 Karaoke Mixing Amplifier with Bluetooth & USB Record

A new model from Sonken has arrived and it’s called the KA-11, this Karaoke Mixing Amplifier is the result of a couple of years work at Sonken to cleverly amalgamate two popular features in to a single working model being Bluetooth and Vocal/Music USB Record.

The KA series which stands for "Karaoke Amplifier" started with the 7 Series a few years ago and closely followed by the Series 8, which represented a high quality audio product including full mixing capabilities on board, without the need for a separate mixer unit, all at an affordable price to boot.

In 2013 the KA-09 and KA-10 Series were released, the look and the feel remained pretty much the same but we got two new features being Bluetooth in the KA-09 and USB Vocal and Music (MIX) Recording in MP3 in the KA-10 model.

Of course you could still connect your Karaoke Machine but with the KA-09 you could also stream music via Bluetooth from your digital devices i.e your smart phone, tablet or smart TV through the amplifier and sing-along mixing the music to your specific requirements, at the same time.

The KA-10 didn't have Bluetooth but you could record your performance back to a USB Memory Stick mixing both your vocals with the music sound track coming from your karaoke machine or CD or DVD player connected to it.

Essentially Sonken had created a home recording studio for you.

The really cool thing was that you could essentially have your cake and eat it with the KA-10 model because for a few dollars extra you could get a USB Bluetooth adapter called a dongle so when you weren't using the record feature you could instead stream from your Bluetooth devices just like the KA-09 model could. 

That was very cool and made the KA-10 more popular as it could essentially have both features.

As a result the KA-10 was quite often sold out due its dual capability. Sure there were plenty of people who had no interest in playing back a recording of themselves, that to some was just too scary a prospect.

It was KHE who suggested to Sonken throughout 2017 that they should look to consolidate the two models into a single offering, giving both features to everyone and at the same time fixing the supply issues.

The idea was simple enough but the technical ability to join the two features into a single product took some time to achieve, together with a lot of testing. We are happy to announce the release of the 2018 model the KA-11 Series with both Bluetooth and USB Record in the single model.

Sonken have also improved the sound quality, output power and the lifespan of the product with all the technical knowledge gained from the previous generation models resulting in the finished product being the new KA-11.

The KA-11 is now available from Karaoke Home Entertainment with or without matching speakers, check out the packages online and yes we do ship Australia wide.

Australia has one of the highest standards in the world hence why some brands aren't available here, the volume is too low for them to improve the technology to make it worth their while. If you happen to purchase any product that has a travel style adapter attached to the power cord that it is a clear sign it hasn't been approved for sale here as that is an illegal practice and you should seek an immediate refund as its very dangerous.

Especially when comes to Wireless Microphones purchased from overseas you can get in to real world trouble if your frequency isn't licensed for use in Australia and the fines are massive. 

All of Sonken's Wireless Microphones are sold on approved Australian frequencies. 

The Australian Government body ACMA polices the frequencies used in Australia. In 2015 these frequencies 694 to 820 MHz (the digital dividend band) were banned in Australia from being used anymore.

Remember that the onus is on you, not the overseas seller, who can't be touched by the Australian Government when things go wrong and if you get caught using frequencies designed to work for example, in the USA.

Sonken MDJ-003 DJ Buster Karaoke System with MP4000

The Sonken DJ Buster Series has been an extremely popular unit over the years.

It all started back in August 2011 with the very first model, the MDJ-001, it represented a true all-in-one solution for all your karaoke needs.

Featuring a top of the line Karaoke Player capable of playing CD+G, DVD, VCD and Digital Downloaded Songs in MP3+G format, it could even record your performance.

The package was complete with a powerful amplifier and speaker system built in, in a mobile all-in-one box with wheels and suit case style pull along handle.

It was loved by performers, schools, function centres and the like and especially at home, at it had everything you could want in an affordable all-in-one package.

There have been improvements as technology improved, a couple of years later we had the MDJ-002 which was modularized with separate amplifier (choice of KA-09 and KA-10) and karaoke player (MP2000) but still in an all-in-one road case. This also allowed for external speakers for larger settings and we even did a touch screen option for playing MP3+G songs on the Android Tablet. This was a very popular version as you could configure it several ways.

Sonken even experimented with an all digital version, playing MP4 karaoke files, together with a Portable Powered Speaker System (with rechargeable battery) complete with 2 Wireless Microphones. This time it had an in-built HD video projector and came with a portable cinema screen.

It was an amazing concept, as this was truly a portable device with it's rechargeable battery system. Customers liked the in-built video projector but they still really wanted the option of playing their karaoke CD+G, DVD and VCD discs, along with Karaoke MP3+G files.

So with this in mind, we set out to develop the best of all 3 models, and that brought us to the current model released in March 2018, the MDJ-003. 

This has the option of either having the Sonken MP4000 Professional Karaoke Machine installed at the top which can play all the karaoke songs be it CD+G, DVD, VCD or MP3+G, but also could stream via Bluetooth from your Phone or Tablet (using Karaoke Apps or even from YouTube) and even record the vocals from these digital devices back on the MP4000 to USB or SD Card.

You also had the Powerful 150 Watts RMS Amplifier and Speaker System the most powerful yet in the series complete with a Guitar input as first featured on the MDJ-001 but excluded on the MDJ-002.

Plus its very own Bluetooth Streaming Feature, SD or USB slot to play MP3 Audio files, FM Radio, Line Input for other devices, plus a front facing Blue LED Light Strip for extra party atmosphere which could be switched on or off.

It also came with 2 Wireless Microphones as standard and included an internal rechargeable battery system for the Amplifier and Speaker, or could also be used on mains power. It also has a DC 12 Volt external power source connection, i.e. connecting to a car battery.

The Sonken MP4000 Player does however require mains power to function.

The best part is, that it is also much lighter than all the previous models dropping from nearly 30kg on the MDJ-001/2 series to only 18kg making it much easier to move around.

Professional Mixer With Bluetooth for your Home Theatre Amplifier

Did you know you can add on a Karaoke Mixer for your existing Home Theatre Amplifier or HI-FI System?

This allows you to use your existing Amplifier for Karaoke purposes.

You can of course use either wired or wireless microphones and you have a host controls at your finger tips to adjustment and mix your voice along with the music for that perfect performance.

Simple then connect your Karaoke source i.e. (Karaoke Hard Drive, DVD Player) to the Line Input of the Karaoke Mixer to play your songs.

Or use the Bluetooth connectivity option so you can play songs from other devices like your smart enabled TV, mobile phone or tablet using a Karaoke APP, YouTube or streaming service.

This just one of the ways to use your existing audio gear and adapting it so you can also use it for Karaoke purposes.

Please note, we don't recommend using a Sound Bar for karaoke purposes at all, regardless of how expensive the Sound Bar is as you can run the risk of damaging the small speakers inside when using microphones.

Likewise if your Home Theatre speakers are satellite speakers then you should also not use them in our opinion, for the best results 2 Channel Stereo should be selected on the Home Theatre Amplifier using the front mains providing they have both a woofer 6" or greater in size with a separate tweeters in each, keep in mind any sub woofer will be disabled in 2 channel stereo mode, don't use surround mode.
